If we travel by the sea
will we be hailed in infamy,
as catastrophic as it may be
there is still on mystery,
of how a mushroom cloud could bear
the burden of a subtle glare,

rusty muskets tear through arms
when marching into sudden harm,
sound the trumpets! sound the trumpets
the battle is underway,
the brave will be slayed
early in the frigid morning,

what has been or what will be
in the midst of infamy,
will be left by the road
along with an exploding heart,
a stalemate is misery
churning in the stagnant sea,

War. Ugly. Bloody. Inhuman. All those things. Still, it is best to fight for your beliefs than succumb to someone else's belief which is the very opposite of yours. War. It will always be with us.
