Sometimes what we see is different from the reality

Watch me smile, you’ll see I’m alright

Hear me laugh, and believe I am strong
Search my eyes, you’ll find reassuring light
Listen to my words, they convince nothing’s wrong
Embrace my body, you’ll feel I am here
To believe in Illusion, there’s nothing to fear

Your eyes have deceived you, the smile hid the pain
The laughter that fooled you, drowned out the sigh
The windows of the soul stayed closed to the rain
A whisper of silence is a wounded cry
Hold to you warm shadows, embracing just dreams
For I am Illusion, nothing is, as it seems

I guard for my Master, a knowledge well-kept
The Key is a secret only she and I share
I’m not to deceive, only here to protect
I am only seen by a true soul of care
My powers will wane should you search for the key
I hide the naked soul of vulnerable Honesty

I smiled for Her, while She carried her heart away
I laughed to cover her sorrow, disappointment, despair
Alone in candlelight, behind windows she’ll stay
Wishing for Sunshine, and ONE that will care
I cry when she’s laughing, I laugh when She cries
To understand Illusion, you must realize…

NOTHING IS AS IT SEEMS…
