They asked me why'd you live this life
i mean to say; you pray each day
and in every prayer bow down and prostrate
furthermore you give chartiy abundently,
dont you fear povery?
why do you wear so modestly
you're not with the fashion, honestly
why do you care so much about being truthful?
some lies and schesmes are not that sinful
why fast a month each year
and abstain yourself from drinking beer
why don't you freely mingle here and there
and stop giving the poor and needy so much care
i answered them; well
because i believe that there's further more
to this life than eat and drink and sleep some more
or waste your time with nonesense and associating with alcohol
you see, the things you listed i lived before
but it didn't bring me happiness or comfort at all
it was a gloomy life of misery
and everything was a complicated mystery
until Allah, The Most Merciful
guided me to faith and then i became full
and then i dedicated my life to earn his pleasure
trying to do a good deed if possible whenever
reaching to the poor is what made my life valuable
living not just for me is the best policy available
humbleness and sincerity is what i aim
through my acts of Worship and to remind me that life aint a game
now i can forgive , now i can live
because now i realised that life is a beautiful gift
