Our guts gainsaid Bush.....

Our guts gainsaid Bush for he was illegitimate
But Obama has legitimized him.
Which is the greater affront?

With Bush, we could deny him –
His policies did not represent us,
His puerile pratfalls were not of us,
His presidency was not from us.
He was to be suffered and forgotten.
But Obama has legitimized him.

We voted for change but got McCain.
I think it hurts worse
To have the left confirm the right
And when you think there’s choice
You find you have no voice.

With Bush, I never denied him –

His policies represented me,

His stick-to-it-ness was his strength,

His presidency was America, we voted him in.

Have you begun to miss him yet?

Hussein is not America's friend.
