An Adventure in Africa

I talk about a make believe experience in Africa.


I’m in the savannas,
Where I sit and see,
The tall yellow grass,
And the animals looking at me.
The Elephants are bathing.
The lions are roaring.
The Zebras are grazing,
And the hornbills are soaring.
I’m now in the jungle,
Located in the Congo.
I’ve got a joyful bundle,
When I hear the bongos.
The gorillas climb and swing,
From the trees up above.
The parrots spread their wings,
And travel like big flocks of doves.
I’m back in the grasslands,
Where the sunset is orange.
I lay my head on my hand,
And observe the silhouettes of the branches,
That the trees hold up.
I am now returning home,
And leaving the exotic paradise.
I still want to watch the animals roam.
I have no other advice,
To give to myself.
I will always remember my Adventures in Africa.

This is such a sweet poem. It truely does discribe wat it is like to be in Congo.
