It's about those things that come out of kid's minds when they're alone in the night and scared that a monster's going to eat them.

Once upon a stomy night,

I woke up in a sudden fright.

T'was then I thought I heard a sound,

a creature groaning from the ground.

The creature then revealed itself,

its body larger than myself.

Fear then travelled down  my spine,

and MADNESS almost got my mind!

I saw its eyes as red as coal,

staring and glaring into my soul!

Its teeth were sharp so were its claws,

I surely wised I held a cross!

The creature then move forward,

as I was staggering sideward

It groaned some more and aimed its claws

---- and then my world came to a pause.

T'was then that sense came back to me,

and I recalled what momma said vividly.

I laughed at the creature and appealed,

"Mr. Creature, you're NOT real!"

The creature's face expressed dismay,

as it screamed in disarray.

The creature went back in my mind,

and I went back to sleep, and left the night behind.
