Poem from the perspective of a thief's knife.

I thirst

I wish to swim again

That sweet crimson ribbon

Spilling past me

As I slip inside

I drink

Warm red richness

He grips me tightly

As I dive once again

I am sated

I have completed my work

Dripping liquid shadow

In the soft moon's light

A quick bath

The cold river

Then to sleep

Until I thirst again.

So compelling and well penned.

This is a very powerful poem. The cadence and style ring out fitting this piece well. Dark and sweet.
