She Must Be So Sweet

This comes originally from the poetry line "she must be so sweet" by Gertrude Stein. I made some modifications and this poem arrived.

My rival is a licorice whip;
I am a walnut.
She's whipped cream;
I'm liver and onions--
or bacon.

She's sugar;
I'm salt.
I cannot win.

She must be so sweet
to make him love her.

She must be sweet.

Ouch.
People don't always watch what is good for them.
