I wrote this poem about a Sinner who enters Hell.

Eternal Fire

By Courtney E. Patty

I remember it all to well,

The first time I arrived in Hell.

Men screamed because of pointless blunder,

Their empty stomachs writhing with hunger,

Fire engulfed my sinful soul,

My unclean being better fuel than fresh coal

I feel more pain then I’ve ever known,

My God make it stop I cannot go on!

I yell out to the Righteous one

“Why have I done you wrong?

I understand it now my God,

Please save me from this place!

I understand your wonderful Grace,

I know I was a disgrace.

Please let me in the Pearly gates.

I see them through this fire,

It is it I truly desire!”

Ala’s I hear his voice on high

“My son, you forsook me in your life,

And showed me no strife,

I will not let thee into the gates,

You never showed thyself approved,

So, you shall stay in the Lake of Fire,

For which your sin hath transpired.”
