A snap of lifes pain.

Untitled

by Alex Bivins

Life where is your mercy,

why must it's sting cut so deep,

yin where is your yang,

dying memories fogging over shelf glassed eyes,

seeing crying embers escape the dead fires grasp,

sightless hearts knowing what the mind cannot,

cursing the fates that melted the shield,

rage and flee from that nightmarish hue,

passion now birthed so fragile and new,

hold, hold tight dreaming of tomorrow,

fear panic crushing the souls breath,

and a plea given in truth,

for powers contorting over my reign,

do not take what from Heaven was sent,

gift me peace and let me rest,

let me sleep and be free.
