When I was a little girl,
I dreamed of seeing Santa,
I dreamed about Christmas morning,
I dreamed of presents.
When I was a young adult,
I still dreamed of Christmas,
I still dreamed of presents.
Now that I am a mom,
I still dream of seeing Santa,
I still dream of Christmas morning,
I still dream of presents.
The only difference is,
When I dream of Christmas,
I dream of not for what I will get,
But for what I could give.
I still dream, but I dream of Christmas for my children,
I dream, for them, of what they will get and what they will give.
I dream of prayers being answered, I dream of continued strength.
I dream of the “Spirit” of Christmas.
For us to remember, for them to lean to understand.
I dream that they know what the
“REAL” meaning of Christmas is.
Sure, Christmas is for giving and for receiving.
But it’s not about gaining materialistic things
or “buying” the finer things in life.
It is about love and laughter.
It’s about realizing how blessed you are.
Its about family, it’s about friends.
For some, it’s about why we even have Christmas,
It’s about celebrating Jesus.
Christmas is truly is a celebration.
If you have love, laughter,
If you have family and friends,
That love you, that you love,
Then you have Christmas.
