Perpetual Springtime

gentle breezes waft
promise of new beginnings
birds warble melodious anthems
…singing only of you

sunshine warms my skin
however revered,
unfathomed in my heart
…warmed immeasurably by you

cherished smile
whispered promises
your skin against mine
walks in the rain and picnic plans, these,
…archived memories of you

meadows of clover, the soothe of lavender
nuances of lilacs and honeysuckle
tripping breathlessly - superfluous, yet,
…not comparable to the scent of you

spring’s raindrops,
skipping from puddle to puddle,
sigh -
their glorious cantata merely a prelude to
symphonies within your arms
heaven reveals its palette,
boasting a sneak preview:
spring’s first rainbow -
day’s renewal surrenders to darkness, where
anticipatory dreams drape the moon
queries dance amongst the stars, but
the truth of hearts resonates in
reflections of moon-beamed lakes and
promises of perpetual springtime whisper

… hopes of loving you

Memories of romantic interludes echoing in the soul with the ache for another visitation morphs to life with me in the analogy of "spring's raindrops...a prelude to symphonies within your arms..."

"Perpetual Springtime" is blissfully romantic. And I love it!
