And what shall begin at the beginning of eternity?
What shall end the strife of the ending?
When will the breaking dawn come in the supreme justice
Instead of the calm afternoon of summertime
The breath of springtime
And the echoing silence of the fall
What shall the beginning bring me today?
What shall the ending say toward my start?
Perhaps, let us all just begin with the inhale of a song
Abandoning the frailties of my design
My increasing fears of the tomorrow
And dance a thrumming beat of the mind breaking
Boundaries spinning into a still-space of comfortable illusion
Perhaps, today I'll simply toss it up to creation
And allow the past to be simply a thread of my eternal string
Praying that the red may intertwine with its partner
So I may be blessed with a partner of existence
Yet, as it stands right now,
I'll simply keep the beginnings of today present in this wound-tight mind
Without thought of the beginnings of tomorrow
Or even the moment after now
I'll simply allow that up to the presence of hope and love
And see where this all leads me to
In this beginning of all beginnings
Another to add to my collection
To place upon my mantel of goodwill
Residing next to dreams and prayers
And wedged into the corner
Suppressed by the steady stream of fear which passes through
Yet, I'll break forth once more
Continually once more
Until I may able to see the today
Filled with the formidable opponent of love
To which, perhaps,
With guidance
I may be able to accept
For now, I'll simply breathe
And sing
And laugh
Perhaps, then, the beginning will seek me out
Gesturing with its beautiful, outstretched hand
Into an eternity
Where I may learn to fly into tomorrow
