|I've seen this story many times in real life and in the poems many have written in the den. You bared your soul in this bite of reality.|

|I went through very similar circumstances. My children, now adults and experiencing "life" themselves, are closer than ever. Be you and shake the guilt. Just love them unconditionally as you will find they will love you the same. I love the person I have gotten to know....YOU!!!

|Reads like the confession it is. Life is not always about the choices we make, but sometimes the choices made by others that affect us. It looks like you're on the road to healing all the problems of your earlier life. As I read what you wrote, it would help think that many have been down the path you were on.

|I think it is good to bare your soul within your poetry, Karen. I did it, and I did it for a long time here on the Den. I had much to talk about and I talked about it ad nausea, but there finally came a day in 2011 that I pulled it all together and was able to forgive myself. I never knew I could ever do that. I am a freer man now, although I think my poetry has been diminished. I enjoyed this.|

|It is easy looking back and seeing mistakes, Children gain understanding through their own life experiences, I am sure they will understand, if not now, in time,
Stay well and keep writing
