Exotic Wisteria Haven...

Such a beautiful place filled with memories of romance, garden tea parties and gatherings. The one's that it's touched are Angels and they still saunter.

Exotic Wisteria Haven…

In this garden… the flowers bow to your pardon

Wisteria’s lavender colored blooms pose

Heavenly aroma; resembles a vanilla rose

A scent that dances on the breeze

Filling the air with a tantalizing tease

This haven has been many things:

A lover’s hide-away

The backdrop for a bride on her wedding day

As a little girl her days were spent in imaginary play

Now a senior citizen… it is her retirement stay

If she had the energy she would rent it out for small pay

To ladies with the vision to rejuvenate

‘Exotic Wisteria Haven’ and the entire estate

It's still grandre with amazing views

A garden of this size is too precious to subdue

Snap shots and memories are all that remain

Of this Wisteria garden and the aristocrats that it entertained

Once enticing and a magical Wisteria haven

Now widowed, her days are filled with the companion she’s craving

His laughter, his smile, his touch and his passion

A soul-mate, she feels, might seem old fashion

But it happened once, to her, in a naïve sort of way

When a drifter appeared at the door one day

He saw the sign in the yard that read “Exotic Wisteria Haven”

And his broken spirit was in need of saving

They found love in the garden and a taste for fine wines

They wed under the shade of the Wisteria vines

A whimsical haven of lavender colored bliss

Controversy was amiss

It paints a picture of God’s amazing wonder

And in ‘Exotic Wisteria’s Haven’… Angels still saunter!

A very imaginative and beautiful description of a fanciful place reserved for more than childhood.

Unfortunately, I find wisteria to be rather creepy. I don't know why, except most of the plants that I see here in Texas look like they're dead half the year, and when they are in bloom, have a funeral pall about them.
