Still She Dances

This is a poem that I wrote many years ago while watching a young dancer dancing in the shadows at a concert. Lovely memory for a lovely moment!

Still She Dances
What can be seen in the eyes of a dancer
Glimpses of God as she spins and romances?
What can she feel when she's free like the wind
Lighter than air as she turns and she spins.

Why does she move with such beauty and grace
To see the expression on Gods' wondrous face?
With movement of body she honors God's name
Bringing him glory and driving the shame

She dances for him, He alone is her muse
When she hears him call out, she will never refuse
To come to his throne and dance with delight
Spinning and leaping with all of her might.

Her heart chases after her Fathers's own heart
Pleasing him always is just her small part
As she dances it frees her, body and mind
Seeing only God's face, loving and kind

When distractions try to clutter her view
With a thought He is there to ever rescue.
She closes her eyes and takes no more chances
Envisions God's face and still she dances.
