I wrote this a long, long time ago.

Touch me, hold me, see me as I am

Know me, love me, try and understand

I am but an individual in a lonely alien land

In a society of highs and lows where I'm required to make a stand

Listen, speak softly, read the message in my eyes

The love I reveal at this moment is no ploy or disguise

When I love it's for real anything otherwise I sorely despise

This, I hope, you realize

Touch me, hold me, see me as I am

One silhouetted creature

A member in God's plan

When angered, a tigress, when loved, a soft lamb...once drowning in sorrows

I eagerly swam

To silver shores where suns blazed bronze and gold

Where my time comes in the form of sand in which my hand may hold

But it slips through my fingers,as my spirits are bought and sold

And as a lonely clay-like statue

My life becomes a mold...

Twisted and conformed to what others would like from me.

But this I cannot see

This is no way to really be

I have to be Just Me...

Touch me, hold me, see me as I am

A wiser individual Created for God's plan
