Look For Me There

Here I am, sitting by an open door,
I have been here so many times before.
Wanting to go out but not having the will,
Peering through the glass by the window sill,

If you miss me, look for me there,
If you want me, look for me there,
Where I am stuck on this side,
Where I remain on this side,

Looking across and seeing what could have been,
Iím sinking again in what should have been,
Like a lead weight tied to my soul,
Just staying put, just like Iíve been told,

If you miss me, look for me there,
If you want me, look for me there,
Where I am stuck on this side,
Where I remain on this side,

Breaking free from this cage is not for me,
Iím all alone here so please let me be,
This prison was built stone by stone,
Itís all I have and itís mine alone,

If you miss me, look for me there,
If you want me, look for me there,
Where I am stuck on this side,
Where I remain on this side,

Since you left me in this place,
Iíve been waiting for your grace,
To come back here and take me home,
So I wonít have to be alone,

If you miss me, look for me there,
If you want me, look for me there,
Where I am stuck on this side,
Where I remain on this side,

Softly song-like. A glorious talent you have that is pure. I see growth in your art.

I like the way you repeated the chorus.

Excellent.
