Look For Me There

Here I am, sitting by an open door,
I have been here so many times before.
Wanting to go out but not having the will,
Peering through the glass by the window sill,

If you miss me, look for me there,
If you want me, look for me there,
Where I am stuck on this side,
Where I remain on this side,

Looking across and seeing what could have been,
Iím sinking again in what should have been,
Like a lead weight tied to my soul,
Just staying put, just like Iíve been told,

Breaking free from this cage is not for me,
