Falling in Love

Pull taught your fishing net
Make ready to shove from shore
Quickly before the moon has set
Let's begin the metaphor

Adrift amongst a sea of stars
I follow the twinkle of her eyes
Pulling me to her like pulsars
In ways I can't begin to conceptualize

We descend into the ionosphere
Limbs tangled and grasping for hold
Push through into the atmosphere
Unconcealed and uncontrolled

Plunge deep into the seas of midnight
Waves of luminescence washing over us
As we surface under the moonlight
Breathless and victorious
In each others arms

Thief of Dreams

I used to think that discretion was the better part of valor,
but now it seems that metaphor is at least 80 percent of it.
A very spiffy and enjoyable write!
