Why do we all wonder about what life is all about? |

------ The Essential Dream------
What is it with dreams anyway
evanescent wisps of imagination
sometimes cemented by ones mind
into substance and true believability
Appearing on golden horizons too distant
to perceive the danger
surrounding such lofty pinnacles
Despite the risk
dreams always seem to lead
creating promise and purpose
Yet, when dreams are forsaken
is it sanity or weakness
which allows reality to intrude,
dissolving castles to sand
destroying hope and possibility
abandoning the sunrise of a thousand tomorrows
In spite of circumstance
a true dreamer cannot extinguish
some small candle burning in their heart,
finding the fabric of dreams
interred within the marrow of their bones,
inseparable for eternity
Dreams are an awesome power
and perhaps possess
the actual ownership of life indeed
for it is possible,
humanity is a mere shell to carry that force
For without dreams,
time is without meaning
life is not living, only an existence
could dreams perhaps be
the essence of life
