| My first read of your poems Mari. Over the past 70 years I have seen it all, from the abhorrence of the act to the acceptance. May God help us if things become compulsory. |

thnx Mari, it had to be said, and you say it very, very well. This is not a poem, but an edict of destruction. The destruction of morality, in our young as well as our old.
No truer words have ever been spoken so eloquently, by one so alone. Mari, I am still crying from your poem Torn Pages, as I have read this one, right after. I know you have a family now, and you love them with all of your heart. All we can do is take it one day at a time girlfriend, that's all we can do, and hope "society" can undo the torn pages of its dark past, present and future.
May the Lord be always with you, and at your side constantly.
With much love, peace, & (((HUGS))), your very dear friend, and sister in Christ our Lord, from Wisconsin,
Barbara Lynn Terry

Mari, I must say you did a splendid job of making your points,
which I agree with!;-) Thanks for being brave enough to speak
truth even though it is no longer popular to do so! Keep writing!

Excellent reflection on today's world versus how good it could be if only we weren't slipping into decay. It really does seem like we are headed for extinction.
I have a feeling though that this is just a phase, like all the phases that came before. I also suspect the world is no wilder than it was 50 or any years before. The only difference is that there are more of us being morally decadent, but the percentage may be the same. The one's who are absolutely out of control are stealing all the attention. While the one's who are tooling along, doing their homework, studying hard, loving deeply, raising a family, and working hard are never even acknowledged. And I think that with communication being wide open we get to learn about the bad guys in a very visual way that in the past was only whispered about. Seeing is being. ~ Sara |

"Take a Left to Extinction" is a deep socio-poetic message duly delivered through its wise lines. Its is a true semaphore flashing Yellow Lights.
This poem, "Take a Left to Extinction" is an educationg reading.

Powerfully said! Please don't give up. Our future generations will
be here to deal with what we leave them no matter what that is. We've got to keep trying to make that the best it can be.
I really get this, though. Vicky |
