Do you really know the person you love? Are they just trying to be who you want them to be? Are they trying to be someone they're not? Who knows? Ultimately, they are the only one!

Who are you really and what do you feel,
Is this something that only time will reveal.
The person I know would not treat me this way,
They would tell me the truth, and come-what-may.

If you are truly a friend, both foremost and first,
You would do the right thing, accepting the worst.
Does the person I crave for only exist in my mind?
Surely someone who loves truly isn't hard to find.

With things I have seen and otherwise heard,
Iím searching for answers, but never a word.
I know you are tired and can explain no more,
But surely you realise you're shutting our door.

Am I the only one who sees your beautiful soul,
Or just a blind conquest whose heart you stole?
You know who you are and what you really feel,
So why make me suffer throughout this ordeal.

To leave me hanging on is both callous and cruel,
In the end Iíll be left broken, and played the fool.
So choose to be kind while searching for your star,
For you're the only one who really, knows who you are.

You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough! ~ Frank Crane.
