My Daughter

Inspired to write during my daughter's fifth time in the hospital in less than one year due to another attack of her auto-immune hemolytic anemia/Lupus. She had to undergo the second spleenectomy.

As I drive through the small, dark town and see the teens roam the streets,
I wonder why my daughter has to lay and suffer such defeat.

They booze and drug and have illicit sex --
While this disease has put my daughter to the test.

So many times I have asked God, "Why,?"
Should my daughter encounter the things that she does?"

Will this disease always try her or will
God surround her with His love.

She's held onto the faith that God will
see her through --
That she will be healed, and what
God said He would do.

At times her faith grew weak and she thought God wasn't there --
But those were the times that He was teaching her to trust in His care.

Once again God has triumphed and He has brought her through --
She's been made to realize that His word is indeed true .

"All things work together for those who love the Lord" --
Though it's been a time of testing,
my daughter's faith multiplied has been restored.

I went to a great church service about a month ago..(topic) Why would God let one suffer? There are no promises that life on earth would be without suffering...but God will see us through our suffering....keep the faith...I will keep your daughter in my prayers,,,,her strength is inspiring.
