A STRAY CAT AND THE SOUL HE ENRICHED |
|
Ty
MISSING BOO-BOO
HE WAS A SNAGGLE TOOTH, AND HE WAS, WELL, PLUMP
BUT HE COULD STALK, AND, MY, HOW HE COULD JUMP.
HE RAN UP TO ME ON A SUNNY DAY
AND FOR MANY YEARS, HE WAS THERE TO STAY.
HIS LIFE WAS FULL AND HE TRAVELED WELL
HE WAS QUIET AND DIDN’T PURR SO WELL
BUT HE SLEPT BY ME EVERY NIGHT FOR YEARS.
AND WHEN HE DIED TODAY, I CRIED BOO-BOO TEARS.
HE WAS MINE, FOR SURE, AND I’M SAD TO SAY
THAT HE LOVED ME , BUT NOW HE’S GONE AWAY
TO A BETTER PLACE, TO A PEACEFUL HILL
AND I’LL VISIT HIM WHEN THE WIND IS STILL.
HOW CAN A STRAY CAT CONTROL MY TEARS?
WE PLAYED AND ROMPED FOR MANY YEARS.
AND NOW HE SLEEPS BENEATH THE GROUND
AS BOO-BOO TEARS COME FALLING DOWN...
TO BOO BOO, MY CAT, WHO DIED AUGIST 14,2005, I’LL MISS YOU A WHOLE LOT.

Awww, George, this is so heartwarming and heartbreaking! I know of the loss of which you write; I have lost several memorable cats myself, and I will never forget them as long as I have breath in my body! Beautiful tribute!
(((HUGS))) and love, a new friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :( >tears < |
