> Letting go
> Those words seem so far away today
> I sit and ponder why I am holding on to tears that aren't mine
> Aren't meant for me to spill
> I take a smile through the pain
> And I keep trying to see the still face of what brought me to my
knees in the first place
> There in the rubble of my heart do I stand piecing it together like
a master seamstress
> Finding pieces that I didn't know existed within those shattered
shards
> I laugh out loud at my own vulnerability and silently strain to
shed another droplet of rage
> I long beneath my ink to just hold onto a line of sanity
> An inkling of prose
> My sanctuary filled in my silence and I ache
> I ache because years of knowing of truth of dreams and nightmares
prayers and poetic narcotic
> Prepared for me nought
> To lie awake in my own flow and rapids of imagery and creative
flight
> Leaves me breathless and in a shadow of where I never wanted to be
> Only now do I see the purpose of my cloud written name
> And read between the lines of fiction that drew me as a butterfly
> A monarch
> Wings beautifully sculpted with a message
> My eyes closed as I spill from one vowel to the next
> Not seeing feeling knowing needing to fill my own mind with notions
> I keep silent as I finally grip the morose surrealism of healing
space
> Drinking Moscato
> Listening to Miles
> Touching myself for the first time
> Sighing
> Breathing even
> Living
> Loving
> Knowing
> Praying
> Embracing
> Finally…..I see my beautiful self
> And I….
> I am in love
> And so shall she be too…….
> Find my bread crumbs Gretel….
