My pauntom, in honour of the poetsagainsthewar campaign, I donated this.
Authors note: I don't know if I managed to convey what she was wishing on properly...thoughts anyone?

I wished upon a star
Last night, as it fell
Heaven to earth
Touching down to hell

Last night, as it fell
Pulling down my dreams
Touching down to hell
Nuclear war, homeland gone

Pulling down my dreams
I bade goodbye to my soul
Nuclear war, homeland gone
Knowing no more flowers could grow

I bade goodbye to my soul
Heaven to earth
Knowing no more flowers could grow
I wished upon that Wormwood star

I can see the Nostrodamus vibe going here. I was wondering if you ever read anything by Milton or Dante because I see a little bit of their influence in this one as well.

Ahhh, you've been reading Nostrodamus again, haven't you? The world will go on in spite of all the rhetoric. [smiles]
Well done.
