Anyone got a cellphone?

Stuck in the Lift

Ring…ring…ring…ring

Here I’m stuck in an elevator thing

Get me. Grab me. Somebody

Interrupted harmony

Clip clop, clip clop up the stairs

Firemen rushing up in pairs

Claustrophobia humming sound

Dizzy. Take me to the ground

Clanking winches. Take the strain

Screeching cables. Moving again

Painful progress. Down we go

Seems forever, don’t they know?

Metal coffin trapped inside

All my worries now subside

Ground at last. Easing pain

“Oh my God. It’s stuck again!”

Ring. Ring.

Ring. Ring.

Ring. Ring.

Ring. Ring!

Great poetic panic mania expression. Unique poem that we can all relate to in some way. After all, who has not feared being stuck in this steel box that is suspended only by small steel cables? I would rather be in a bumpy plane ride. Amen!

I will never forget my brothers and I playing on an elevator and stopping it at Dillards and seeing a crack between the elevator and floor. People would walk up and we would talk to them and they did not know where it came from...so funny...we pretended it was candid camera...hahahah

Thanks for making me remember the past!
Enjoyed
