"I was promised on a time,
To have reason for my rhyme;
From that time unto this season,
I received nor rhyme nor reason."
Spenser

Whisper

Have you ever heard

witty cranes’ screams,

their farewell songs singing

among the lilac skies?

Have you ever heard

poplar snowflakes’ whispers,

their fluffy dresses rustling

among the windy streets?

Have you ever heard

tiny ants’ tramples,

their harsh strained breathing

among the lonely forest paths?

What if

somewhere

somebody

is making an effort

to hear our tramples too?

Silent creatures God made and each one has a daily plan and to follow it. I love watching little ants going about their work and sometimes carrying on loads that are a wee bit big. If someone is making an effort to hear me all power to them. I have nothing to hide.

Everything is relative and your words demonstrate our place in the universe is far less important than our arrogance allows us to believe.

Good work.

Dear Michael,

Firstly "Welcome" may your stay be long and fruitful.

Amazing thoughts... those whispers we often fail to hear because we're too busy, it's all just a matter of making time to really listen! Beautifully written.

warm hugs

Yes...these are thoughts I aften think about...

What if
somewhere
somebody
is making an effort
to hear our tramples too?

I wonder who watches us through a microsope...I wonder are they more intelligent than we are? Are they what we once were? So many questions!

THanks for sharing, Helen
