A father's a man with a charge to fulfill,
to love and provide for his own;--
from the tiniest babe, as the years hurry by,--
teach his children to kneel at the throne.
Look into (look into) Jesus' eyes (Jesus' eyes)
He will teach you the ways of the wise.
The call of a father is far too great a task
for mere man to bravely attain;
He must walk with the Savior and learn from His Lord
how to teach them to call on His Name.
Look into (look into) Jesus' eyes (Jesus' eyes)
Show your children the ways of the wise.
He won't walk alone when the road is hard and steep;
His Savior is there by his side.
He'll look in the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Who is faithful to strengthen and guide.
Look into (look into) Jesus' eyes (Jesus' eyes)
He will show you the path of the wise.
Though in a father's life, both the joys and sorrows flow,
he knows, through the good times and bad,
there's no greater honor a man can receive
than the privilege of being a Dad.
Look into (look into) Jesus' eyes (Jesus' eyes)
Praise His Name for the ways of the wise.
Look into the heart of the Father above
to know what a father should be;
He loves without bounds and His mercy endures--Heavenly Father, Your child I would be.
Look into (look into) Jesus' eyes (Jesus' eyes)
Father, teach me the ways of the wise.
(May be sung to the tune of "It Is Well With My Soul)
There are about 3 places where a note is held, or 2 words combined into 1 note---I'll elaborate on that later day on my blog. Gotta go for now!
