Amazing how the body can fail so incrementally that the "rational" mind becomes frozen in disbelief.
Flu I imagine,
Joints 10 thousand
Years old (at least)
ER green coats
No more jokes as results
Come, bringing white coats with
Scenting vacant veins.
Endless bags, setting
Withered arms aflame,
Tubes invade meat,
Night’s crude escort.

|As wonderfully and clinically as this is written, Juliet,
it is painful to read. I hope this is an artist at work,
If not, I share the wish that you will be well again soon.

|Yes I felt a smack too. *ouch and double ouch* good solid stuff, Juliet.|

|The sheer power of this, Juliet! The images are spare, stark and smack this reader in the face.
I don't know if this is personal...if it is, you know how I feel and wish you well as speedily as healing thought.
