Loved your poem. The trouble is the truth about it is heartbreaking. I think of the next generation and it terrifies me.

The difference between us and those that we are supposed to vote for is that they pretend to know when they need our votes and then pretend to ignore everything when we expect to see results! Just my personal reflection, Liz. By the way, this is a clever and wise piece of writing!

A poem of truth unfurled. Our forefathers [no women allowed] didn't trust the masses and invented representative democracy. I think, with the Internet, we are on the verge of a long-feared pure democracy.

Superb!
As for voting, does it make any difference, whoever gets voted for is ruled by the polls and media. Oh yeah, and oil. |

For someone who don't know nothing, I think you are a well informed person. I related to your poem big time; so glad you offered this succinct poem for us to view. I will be at the polls early to vote and hope and pray for better leadership from a man/woman who has their mind and heart on the pulse of the American public they will serve.

I think you know more than you are saying, and I'm voting too, I have a feeling my vote will cancel out yours.
Well-written poem. You gave and lot, but held back on purpose, and that made it as good poem. |
