A young lady misses her dad. He died before they even got to know one another. But she remembers the comfort he brought her in the worst of times

I can feel your presence.
As though you're watching over me.
The Ticking time echos by, slowly, painfully.
But not your memory.

Daddy, I love you
There's so much I want to say.
why did you leave me alone. Here to stay.
why'd you leave me to stay.

The years roll by,
And I can only think of you
How you held me tight
when the storms passed the night.

Oh daddy
I need you here
need you to hold me tonight.

I hear the wind
I hear the rain
I hear the branches strike the house
But i don't hear you come in again.

How do I make it dad
How do I make it through the night
how do I make it
Without you to tell me it's alright

I bow my head
And I cup my hands
And I pray to God,
to send me You,
just for tonight.
