I wrote this one for a friend who was going through a hard time. Thought I'd share it ... maybe someone else can use a word of encouragement. :O)

Godís rainbow promise in the sky

is echoed in the tears we cry.

Within each drop, a sparkling hue;

a sacred vow, from God to you.

Not for a life thatís free of pain,

or a cloudless sky that yields no rain.

Not for a soul thatís free of care Ė

no burdened heart, no load to bear.

God has promised none of these;

weíre not assured a life of ease.

But what He promised, He will do -

Itís a sacred vow, from God to you.

Youíre not alone, for God is there.

He wonít forsake; Heíll answer prayer.

When troubles come and doubts assail;

Recall the rainbow; God wonít fail!

Night may be long and filled with pain,

but morning brings the joy again.

Within each drop of morning dew,

is a rainbow vow, from God to you.

Catch that teardrop, if you can,

Within a crystal vial, and then

Hold it out into the light.

Behold, a rainbow, shining bright!

In tears, or dew, or cloudy skies,

The rainbow's promise never dies.

The Word of God is sure and true ;

a sacred vow, from God to you!
