I lost Bob in 96, Sept 9th he was my big brother, who i took into my home when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. and 1 year 1 month later in 97 , oct. 9th my mom went to care for her first born, the doves gave me that sense of peace knowing that they are always with me, It was my christmas miracle God sent to me.

The Christmas Doves

Missing the ones, who’s gone on,
Mostly Bob and mom.

They left me before I was ready,
To continue on slow and steady.

Can’t call and ask them why?
Their lives cut short,
They shouldn’t have died.

I wondered if they knew,
How much I loved,
It came in the answer,
Of the Christmas Doves.

Sitting on the banister,
Christmas morn,
I no longer felt so forlorn.

I looked at them ,they looked at me,
As I looked,
They began to speak.

Their steady gaze and ,
Intense stare,
I knew at once,
Bob and mom,
Were sitting there.

Assured that they were,
Just fine,
That it really was their,
Time,

I can go thru life with ease,
Knowing that they are always,
With me.

God sent me ,
The Christmas Doves.
To reassure me of his love.
