A friend gave me as a gift his abstract painting of the full moon over the wild Franklin River Gorge area in Tasmania. My return gift was this 'abstract' poem, to show him what I found in his painting....primordial chaos.
This site can't reproduce the shape of the poem, which has a rift through the centre in the shape of the Aboriginal Dreamtime Rainbow Serpent. Gondwanaland, by the way, is the name given to an unbroken landmass millions of years ago that later became Australia, NZ, etc

Eye in the Sky

Observer Moon,
At the climacteric, prepare
Our plunge - the long slow swoop
Under black leather leafery
On Franklinís damp

Cocoon Moon,
Beam us
Where the still heart waits
For a shadow shift.
Splash down now
On the drifting night, shatter
A million bright mirror-moons
To wavery water-shard

Gondola Moon,
Sway me
In time to old earth-songs
Once soothed a groaning
Jovial accompanist
To duet of form and void,
The tidal ingress and egress
Of species,
This rank fecundity
I smell
Fecundity, you say,
needs no reason,
No prime mover, being
Fecundity is All?

You mean, there is no square
To think outside? We build
Our own boxes, shunning this
world free of walls and corners?

But loops,
There has to be loops.
I will not be out of the loop, out
Of the loop, out of the
Sweet lunar loop.
Cocoon Moon,
Woo me with the truth: Surely
The Loop the wet warm Loop

Loves its myriad children,
Every fecund
