Rocking Chair...

Rocking Chair...

As the old man, sit's rocking by the window
Staring from outside in
At what has pass
And of what has never come
Where he sit's silently
Thinking of what his heart has felt
And of what faith has gave him...

Still he watches outside the window
As if it was another world
One he can not touch
Birds fly by
And ducks and geese swim on the pond
The trees sway from side to side
Telling of love stories
Within the breeze
He yearn's and leans over to touch
But the glass separates
For what he thinks is real...

Still, he watches outside the window
There is a faint reflection
Within the glass
Of the old woman
Looking inside out
Still he remains rocking
Hopping soon
They will be one...

Melancholy and touching on the deepest wish all of us have...to 'end up' with that special loved one.

Good, Gilles!

This is a nice poem, but there are quite a few grammatical errors to stumble over that your spell check should have caught, Gilles.

The "old woman not only has found a love of a twin soul, but as rooted so deeply spiritual, that time, space and matter can never seperate them, even through their struggling earth lessons..The astral provides the realm for the healing between seperations of the twins.. For she knows his demons , yet knows his purity of heart on the other side, the ability of him to transform, pick himself up when he is so down. When the old man looks outside he see's the butterfly's and she see's the White Wolf.. with her spirit, as he heals her forever, and ever and ever..
