Isa 58:5 Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Jehovah?
Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Can you show me how you look in pain, how you can tear your clothes
Can you impress me with how dirty you can get without working in the fields
Can you put on sackcloth and cover yourself with ashes from your head to your feet
What is my fast
What do I ask of you
I call for a fast and that is a sacrifice for you do not impress me
I want you to go to my children and work on their sin
I want you to do it by living in such a way they want what you got
What is my fast
What do I ask of you
My people are in pain their spirits are pressed carrying the yokes of living
My people want you to set them free to lift the yokes off their necks
My people look for the saved to break the yoke
What is my fast
What do I ask of you
Clothing and feeding is not that hard, what you do for the least of them
I died for you, what will you do for me to make this world better
When you seek the victory it is in what you do for me
What is my fast
What do I ask of you
