“Forever In Your Eyes”
Phenomenal, even though you’ve described
Yourself as same
It starts with the sweetness of the sound
of your name.
You have a style of elegance that surfaces
with each work that you master
I’m touched by your emotions
now and forever after.
Fantastic to see you receive
the recognition deserved
More than two decades that the
“Caged Bird” has been preserved.
Charity, justice, equality above all
It’s no wonder you were a distinguished guest
at the inaugural ball.
Extraordinary expression as to what pride can do
for you
With a constant struggle and belief in all that
you strive to do.
Life is a constant battle and
we know that’s no lie
I can feel it Maya, I can see it,
that’s why those tears are forever in your eyes.
