Oh, the drudgery of apartment life...

Sandwiched in the concrete,
I feel trapped
Between what I see
And what I want to see.
Instead of friendly faces,
I see falsehood and flaws,
And those who donít mean to deceive
But who are only true to themselves.
I hear noises in the night
And petty complaints in the day.
I hear bumping and grinding,
Screaming and shouting.
Nowhere do I hear
Or feel the love of my neighbors.
They are small and insignificant
As I hide in the cave of my apartment,
Praying for my inevitable escape.

And I pray that that escape comes soon Dana.

Not only apartments mind you, but whole neighborhoods are becoming like this. Rich and poor! There is a terror that seems to have been unleashed that is rotting the very fabric of how people inter-relate with one another. A very tactile write!

Light and Wisdom ...

Insightful and terrifyingly realistic.
