Envisioning Today

Just a reflective poem.

Envisioning Today

Why does tomorrow seem so far away?
For today seems so elusive, like yesterday

Our existence but a matrix of thoughts, events and emotions. Like lab rats in a wheel, we're going through life's motions.

Of everyday attempts to arrest the painful emptiness inside. And protect ourselves from heartache that offers us no pride.

And accept how vulnerable we really are in the grand scheme of things. Yet reflect on our own behavior and how life brings;

New decisions to make each day and new thoughts to ponder. New memories for us to cherish or those we can squander.

Why does tomorrow seem so far away?
It's not if we embrace it -- tomorrow is a mere reflection. A vision of today.
