From "Poison"

Numb to Our Pain

Why is the world numb to our pain?

Why doesn't anybody care?

Wow, am I the only one here?

Must it take another life for you to fear

4 million dead is the toll in the Congo

And it's too much to bear

Man,can anyone else hear?

Can you see as our eyes perpetually tear?

Once again I will ask, is there anyone else here?

Golden Africa

It did not start with colonial times

Prior to that the gold flawlessly shined

It did not start with physical captivity

Prior to that there was immense prosperity

See the world was watching as the torch was lit

It traveled from the North to the South of the continent

The people were systematically taking things higher and higher

Until the idle ones came and burned the entire land with fire

And today the Western world wants to know what is going on

Somehow they got historic amnesia,

Don't know where civilization was born

An unfortunate reality as you have exposed the truth of where origins of birth are and yet many from the west have an amnesia sort of mind...nice work.....

Amnesia of history and current events in this Golden Africa,

I work with Missions there and it is heartbreaking all the turmoil. needless deaths do to hunger............
