Casualty of Confusion

Troubled by the aimless thoughts
Swimming in my head,
I ponder over the memory.
Could the smile that plays upon my lips
be a sign of something profound?
Could the pounding of my heart
Be a symbol of something deeper?
Why is it such an enigma?
Why can I not put it into words?
Listen-
Is the silence deafening you as it does me?

I long to hear the words you said to me then,
Now.
How i would cherish each moment
And perhaps,
Be able to remember what exactly
Caused me to be
A casualty of my own confusion
And a slave to my own sentiment.

Farrah, I liked this poem just as much as all the others that you have written and I have read. I think you have through your poetry found a beautiful way of expressing yourself. Unlike others, I do not see this poem as an indication of a confused person....but perhaps confused over an incident in time. I hardly think there is confusion about you, Farrah....you appear to me to be a person who knows just where she is headed and the right way to get there! Thanks for letting me share.

confused !!!! like i said earlier .this relflects soo much of who you are, and im sure youre not a sadist. the peom in itself is good but had too many unanswered questions, too much even for yourself. nice try !!
