When the people we love pass away not even time can heal those wounds fully.

Mind grant me peace,

I can't help but think of happy times and late night talks.

I think of long dark drives and cold winter walks.

I think of him who has left this world.

I think of my best friend again and again.

Heart grant me a reprieve.

I hurt inside and long for that love.

I feel the loss so deeply and long for his hug.

I cry too much for what feels like my loss.

I love the memories of my best friend.

Soul grant me time.

I wait for the day we will talk again and laugh.

I know my soul calls to his again and again.

I wonder will you see the light of this candle.

I reach for my best friend again.
