I wrote this while thinking how wicked our society has gotten, children missing, people murdered and lies from politicians. |

In these outrageous days and the end of times,
And the odd things that people say and hear.
In this wicked society and evil world,
God has to be very, very near.
War and rumors of it is all around us,
How it started, we don’t understand.
Men in high places making decisions,
Killing souls are a part of their plan.
Dear God, where has all the love gone?
A few faithful followers of yours still try,
Hatred is so deep within so many souls,
Some fear You are watching from on high.
You see how earth has destroyed herself,
Purple mountains now have a shade of blue.
The leafy trees once stood large and strong,
Have been chopped down in their youth.
There are churches on every corner;
The taverns and bars are filled each week.
On Sunday morning, some are so wasted,
Only option available is to sleep.
God, what else can we do to your land,
Some say You’re not here and do not exist.
This world is cluttered with robbers and murders,
Child killers and deceitfulness are among our mist.
Give us the ability to do what is right,
Bless us and help us to keep Your power,
We know you are near us in distress,
Keep us in Your palm every minute and hour.
