Awake

 

I was sleeping and didn’t know it.

That’s how it always is (isn’t it?).

My mind was an arm mashed between myself and place I didn’t want to be.

It was numb.

Going through the motions and doing what I thought I was supposed to do.

It was dumb.

Out of nowhere came a Hurricane and woke me up.

I am disheveled.

I am wet.

My mind is racing in a thousand different directions.

I am numb no longer. I am alive.

I am awake.

Nos chemins se sont enfin croises…

Good awakening. Let us beware of unseen storms in our lives and never sleep too late. Go face the world each day as if it were your last one to live here on Earth.

I personally really like this poem. Quite different than the ones a year ago. Seems like big doors are getting open in front of you. Really good!
