Ah, back in the day...

I Remember Love.

It was warm, it was calm,
it was safe and sound.

It was wild - it was passion.
A peaceful joy, a moment captured.

A private place for two,
that no one else could know.

I remember then, the time of wreckless kisses, and arms wrapped tight.

Of laughter and tears - all passion in the night.

Of morning sun - her softly waking in my arms.

A moment stolen, staring deeply in our eyes. The smiles and grins, the knowing looks.

Of a child's heart so full and joyful.
Just like two kids dashing through...

...a perfect gift from heaven.

Your poem is beautiful, especially the words, "Of morning sun - her softly waking in my arms." This truly captures love, and it radiates throughout your poem. "A moment stolen, staring deeply in our eyes. The smiles and grins, the knowing looks," summarizes the feeling of love and warmth of the person. These sentences are my favorite part of the poem. You write in a way that I can relate to. This poem is tender, warm, sweet, and really made a difference in my day! Stop by my authors den sometime and let me know what you think. I am new to this site, and have recently placed some of my work on this wonderful site!

ah those memories...you capture that so well in this piece...good rhythm in this and your use of couplets is perfect. All in all this is very good work. Welcome aboard if you are new to the den. I look forward to more of this.
