Dedicated to women of color

They say my hips are too wide.
I say the woman in my aint trinna hide.
They say my lips are too full.
I say they hot, sexy, and cool.
They say my thighs are too big.
I say thatís what my man digs.
They say my breast are too large.
I love Ďem, they are what they are.
They say my eyes are too slant.
I gotta from my great aunt.
They say my nose is to spread.
I say itís perfectly portioned for my head.
They say my weaves too long.
I say they just donít know.
They say my skin color is to dark.
How do they know this isnít the color of Noah who built the ark.
They say my voice is to low.
I said, ďI can get loud thoughĒ
They say their not judging me.
I say why donít they just let me be.

An empowering write to just let well enough alone - don't need to be judgin', nohow. We're all created in God's image - we're all brothers and sisters despite our appearances/color/belief - you know? Well done -

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
