This is a poem about realationship abuse......This is NOT a true story

****NOTE**** Informing young girls about getting involed in realtionships. Stand your ground don't let anyone control you. If you are abused tell someone trustworthy right away.

I was a junior.
He was a senior.
Mysterious, was he
I couldn't keep my eyes off him.
My friends said he was trouble
But I didn't listen.

He liked me and took me out.
Out to the movies; out to
the mall. Let me hang when
he handled "bussines."

I had a life before him
Co-captin of the cheerleading
squad. A-B honor roll student.
But he soon became my life.

One day I was late from practice
and he had to sit and wait for me.
He was Angry.
I reached out to comfort him and
before I could react his hand
came down and slapped me across
the face.

He drove me home in silence.
When he got to my house he leaned
over and kissed me on the cheek.
From that day everything in my life
STOPPED. I spent all my time waiting for it to start up again.

The next morning he picked me up
and there was a gift on my seat.
He kissed me and whispered
"I LOVE YOU" I thought it would never happen again and then it repeated
a week later.

Almost a week later at a party,
he punced me in the jaw. While
quietly yelling at me for
screwing up a joint. He thought
no one had seen what he had done
but my friend saw everything and called 911.

My parents put me into rehab
But not for abuse
But for Drug Possesion.
So I sit here and write
For My Life To Be taken off of
