This is a poem I wrote after my first love was killed and I felt as though no one understood what I was going through

Dear. Lord
I pray each and every night
That you take this pain away
I'm so tired of being mad and angry all the time
Don't want to hold all this hostilty in me
I'm sick of being lonely
Yet so very scared of fallin in love again
I don't know what to do
Don't wanna live in the past
But Too scared to allow my self to move on to the future
I don't know how to let go and let someone love me
I'm afraid, so afraid Dear God
Of lettin my heart get broke again
I don't know how to get through this
So I ask Could I go on if it happened a second time
That's just one of the questions I ask myself
Time after time
If only people understood
Whats going on in my head and in my heart too
Would they think differently
About the way i act and treat other individuals
Could they possibly understand the complexity
Waking up each morning terrified
Of what you may ask??
I can't even possibly begin to explain
Even a lil bit of what goes on in my brain
That's why I say if only you knew....
Maybe you would act the way I do too....

Your solemn words tear deep into my soul. Only God and time will help you to heal, see the light and feel the sunshine once again......

Be safe,

You express your pain "vividly" via your verses, Brittney. I wish you love, peace, and healing.
