If you ever see her and she wants to know what I had to say about my new love, please just say I described her in four simple words. What ever you do, don't tell her she's the most beautiful girl I've ever known, even though she is. Nor do I want you to talk about the chemistry between us, in that when we touch, I ache with a passion I hadn't dreamed possible. And it's not necessary you mention her incredible eyes and how they seem to be pulling me into that ever-elusive place of peace on the other side. Please don't talk about those times when our eyes meet briefly and she pulls away dropping her chin and breaking into a smile. She doesn't need to know how that look elevates me into an emotional state, the best of poets couldn't describe. Don't tell her she can put me into a mental trance from fifty feet away. Say nothing about the fact that because of her, I feel what I've always known I had the capacity to feel, but wasn't sure I would ever find a place to feel it. Pass completely over the fact that what I feel for her is real, that it grows stronger by the hour and is coming from the deepest recesses of my soul. You should not say anything to her about how this love makes me want to be the very best man I can be. Don't give it away that my second novel will be about her and this love and that she is going to help me write it. And surely, you won't mention the romance in my first novel was about her when we had yet to meet. NO! Please don't tell her any of this. Simply say, "Glenda, he described you in four words. 'LOVE WITH AN ATTITUDE' It's my place to tell her the rest.
