Martin T. Ingham is hard up for fans, and dares to get shameless in the process!

It's time to give everyone a thrill
Even as I try to pay the bills
And become a virtual shill
For my own egotistical endeavors

You can't go wrong
Free Sci-Fi & Fantasy
That won't make your eyes bleed.
Sample my wares,
And dare to skip out without wanting more.

Everybody else can be so shameless
Selling their souls for cash
I only offer the fuming ruminations
Of an imagination uncaged
If only you're willing to look.

Prisoner of Time
Virtual Wiles
Rogue Investigations
Is all escapist trash!
But, oh, what trash,
It's worthy of your cash.

A free chapter here,
A short story there,
One of these days
A million fans will find
They have a few bucks
To feed the starving writer
Who is fat, imagine that.

Then I won't have to beg
The wandering eyes
To take a peek at the
Best fiction they've never read.
Oh, what a boast!
Can it actually be fulfilled,
Or just turn into a snake-oil pitch?
All in the eye of the beholder,
Even the greats were mediocre
At the start.

If you've read this far
I applaud your endurance.
This weak poem
Of capitalist rants
May not be as catchy
As "Coke Is It!"
But I don't have a million
To splurge on a jingoist jingle

We now return you to your
Regularly scheduled program
